The Africa Fairtrade Convention is an African producer-driven event that focuses on sustainability and ethical trading. It is a platform for African producers, traders, policymakers, partner organizations and other stakeholders to come together and discuss how to improve value chains, trade relations and conditions for farmers and workers across Africa.
The biennial Africa Fairtrade Convention (AFC) brings together smallholder farmers, workers from hired labor plantations and other stakeholders from across the continent and beyond. During the 3-day event, participants discuss how to improve trade conditions, market access and producer support. At the same time, they strengthen their networks and build relations with potential partners in the market place.
